This ensures that leadership teams evolve alongside business needs - leading to high-performance and self-sustaining organizations. It contains four stages that provide a roadmap for leaders to navigate the complexities of team building and enhance collaboration and productivity.

The four stages of organizational or Team culture are Orientation (Forming), Power Struggle (Storming), Cooperation (Norming) and Synergy (Performing). Understanding and navigating these four stages of team culture building can help leaders build resilient, high-performing teams capable of achieving exceptional results. By recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities at each stage, leaders can tailor their strategies to guide their teams  towards sustained success.

The below table outlines the stages, team dynamics and the founder CEO’s leadership style in navigating the leadership challenges at each stage. The role of the Strategic Coach is to dynamically assess the leadership  team development stage and enable the Founder CEO achieve relevant critical success factors as outlined below.

As a strategic coach we understand the culture of the organisation and enable the Founder CEO to set the path for the leadership team to reach the “performing” stage.

Next, we assess each team member in the leadership team to see where they are in this continuum. It may happen that different leadership team members operate in different parts of the curve. Once leaders become aware of their current mindset and their link between mindset and performance they can choose to change.

This phase involves defining what the Founder CEO and his leadership team wants to achieve, both in the short term and long term. Goals are then crafted by the Founder CEO along with the leadership team which are SMART ( specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound).

 

This then is followed by the remaining 3 stages of GROW coaching process viz : Reality check, Option to pursue and Action plan to realise the goals - all these stages will be completed along with the Founder CEO and his leadership team creating synergy resulting in superior performance.
